Jąkanie się jest powszechną dość dysfunkcją w mówieniu, która, częściej dotyka chłopców niż dziewczynki. Problem ten zauważamy zwykle w okresie nauki mowy. Właśnie wtedy opiekunowie mają okazję ujrzeć pierwsze problemy dziecka, które zaczyna mieć trudności z płynnym wypowiadaniem słów. Zjawisko jąkania się może mieć wiele przyczyn, stąd żeby dobrze poznać dolegliwości naszego dziecka, musimy udać się do lekarza.
